It’s that time of year where everyone is in search of the perfect holiday party outfit. This year my search was made easy and stress free. I teamed up with the Blog Societies and American Apparel to pick out the perfect holiday look at the 2nd annual Shops Around Lenox Jingle Bell Frock shopping event. I knew I wanted something in the color oxblood because its such a hot color right now. So when I stumbled upon this Oxblood skater dress from American Apparel, I knew I had found the dress I wanted to wear this holiday season. I love the dress! It’s sophisticated but also sexy.

You still have time to find your perfect holiday look. Skip the mall crowds and head to the Shops Around Lenox to pick out what you want to wear to this year.

Grape Crush

Photography by: Jnelly Photography

Fall is slipping away quickly, and the temperatures in Atlanta are getting colder as the days go by. This fall I’m loving the color grape. Purple grape is such a regal color that can be dressed up or down. I’ve added several new pieces to my wardrobe with this fall. Shopping at the outlets earlier this fall I snagged a great deal on this purple skater skirt from J.Crew. I love it because it’s a great way to add a bright bold color to your work wear. I think this grape skirt goes great with a classic long sleeve t-shirt and a statement necklace like this one I found at J.Crew.

Have you added the color grape to your closet this fall?

Navy is the New Black

Navy Blue Dress French Connection

My work wardrobe consists of a lot of little black dress and grays. But on a recent shopping trip to Belk, I picked up this stunning yet simple navy French Connection dress. This little navy dress is the perfect substitute for my little black dress. I’ve decided navy is the new black.  It can be paired with a blazer for work and worn without a jacket for after work events. The subtle pop of color looks great on everyone. And it goes great with any colored heels!

Fancy That! She Found a Pair of Boyfriend Jeans

Untitled design (2)

I have to admit I’m kinda happy skinny jeans are slowly going out of style. This season is all about the fitted boyfriend jeans. On a recent shopping trip toMarshalls, I scored a great deal on a pair of fitted boyfriend jeans. After trying them on, I decided these jeans were too good to pass up. The great thing about boyfriend jeans is that they can be dressed up with heels for work or a night out or worn on the weekend with a pair of flats.

To dress up my fancy that baseball t-shirt from Target, I decided to pair this outfit with a pair of pumps.

A Productive Sunday Afternoon

Spring and Fall are two of my favorite seasons because the weather is just right. This spring in Georgia has been really rainy so far, which is horrible when you are trying to have a good hair day. Luckily this weekend the sun was shining and I was able to get outside and soak up the rays while getting some work done. I headed to a local cafe to sit outside and journal while enjoying a nice cup of tea.

The great thing about sunny weather is you can always look forward to having a #BadAssHairDay. There’s no need to pull your hair back into a ponytail when the sun is shining just right. Thanks to the folks at OGX Beauty, I’m now always going to have a good hair day. For their new #BadAssHairDay campaign, I’ve joined a few select bloggers to show you how to have a productive day and make everyday a #BadAssHairDay.
In order to have a productive Sunday, I have to start my day at church, followed by a yoga session, then a trip to the farmers market or whole foods to shop for the week, and then it usually ends with a dinner with my family or at home alone. I tend to overload my weekends, so sometimes it’s nice to just sit outside and mediate while the wind blows in your hair.

OGX Beauty currently has a #HairorDare challenge on Instagram, and you can be involved too! Follow @OGX_Beauty and the #BadAssHairDay and #HairorDare hashtags. Share photos of your Bad Ass Hair Days or do one of the #HairorDare challenges for a chance to win prizes.
