Anyone else caught off guard by this cold swoop of weather? Last week the highs in Atlanta were in the 70s. This week the highs are in the 40s. Yesterday I was so rushed to get out the house for work I forgot to bundle up. Lesson learned! Let’s just say, baby it’s cold outside!
I’m better prepared today. I had a feeling old man winter wasn’t gone for good. I have been saving this post to the share with you on a cold day.
The one thing I love about winter is the layers of clothing you get to wear. This blanket scarf from old navy has become one of favorite winter staples. It’s not too heavy but easily pairs with a lot of classic pieces in my wardrobe.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Love is all around us today. I’ve seen flower and balloon carts on every corner this weekend. Although I’m not a huge fan of this holiday because I think love should be cherished everyday and gifts are such a small part of what true love really feels like. It’s great to see so many people celebrating love.
I’m excited to share this collaboration with Free People. I usually like to keep dates simple and low key by cooking together at home or going to a concert. But I do love getting dressed up every once in a while for date nights not just on Valentine’s Day. This red satin dress from Free People is sexy but comfortable for a night out on the town.
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite date night spots in Atlanta.
1. Check out a show at the Historic Fox Theatre.
2. Enjoy Friday night Jazz at The High Museum of Art.
3. Spend summer nights at Chastain Park watching a concert.
4.Take a bike ride on Atlanta’s Beltline and enjoy a nice meal at Ponce City Market.
5. Take a cooking class at Preserving Place.
A few weeks ago, I was shopping at Anthropologie (my favorite store) and I happened to spot this floral peplum top on sale for $9.95. Talk about an amazing deal! This floral top is perfect for spring and I couldn’t wait to wear it. I decided to pair this top with a pair of lacquered pants from Zara to give it an edgy look.
During this week’s shoot, we happened to stumble upon this new frozen custard shop in Atlanta, Vintage Frozen Custard. I love a good custard and thought this was the perfect way to kick off the beginning of spring. If you are in Atlanta check this place out.
