On a normal hair wash day it can take me up to 2 hours to wash, blow dry, straighten, and polish my hair. It’s an exhausting routine but I’ve gotten used to it. With the summer’s heat at record temperatures, it is important for me to find the right products that will combat frizz and protect my hair from the humidity.
I’m so happy I found OGX beauty’s Argan Oil of Morocco and Kuku Oil line. For the most part I usually blow my hair out and straighten it but I’m trying to get used to wearing it curl a few times this summer too. These products are great for the girl who likes to wear her hair both ways.
The Argan Oil of Morocco is rich in vitamin E and super charged with antioxidants to protect and renew your hair. It combats the frizz but also straightens and defines the curl pattern.
The Kuku Oil line helps my hair with the humidity in the hair. Without this product my hair would be a giant poof ball in the summer.
The one thing I also love about all of OGX beauty’s products is that they are affordable. They are available at most drugstores and grocery stores and they won’t break the bank.

I played tennis leisurely for about 10 years after my parents signed up for a tennis camp with Nike one summer when I was a kid. My best friend Chantel and I continued the tradition by hitting the tennis courts each summer right before we hit the pool. Let me set the record straight, we aren’t your Williams sisters we are pretty amateur players.
I recently started taking tennis lessons again on Sunday mornings with my friends from the Junior League. So for four weeks I’ll be hitting the tennis courts again to brush up on my game. The first two weeks were rough but brought back old memories.
When playing outdoors it’s essential to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. It is also important to make sure you have your hair tied up or protected some away. You never know who you may run into after leaving the tennis courts, and you always want to have a #badasshairday. To ensure that I am prepared I also carry a bag with facial wipes, water, dry shampoo, and a comb. What’s your post workout routine for looking fresh?
I’ve teamed up with OGX beauty to celebrate the kick off a new national holiday, National Bass Ass Hair Day. Today, women across the world will be celebrating #badasshairday by sharing selfies of how awesome their hair looks wherever they may be. You could be sitting in your office at work or taking care of your kids or finishing up your evening run. Where ever you are, stop and take a selfie of your awesome hair style today and share it on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #badasshairday. You’ll find me on the tennis courts this evening joining in on the fun.

Spring and Fall are two of my favorite seasons because the weather is just right. This spring in Georgia has been really rainy so far, which is horrible when you are trying to have a good hair day. Luckily this weekend the sun was shining and I was able to get outside and soak up the rays while getting some work done. I headed to a local cafe to sit outside and journal while enjoying a nice cup of tea.
The great thing about sunny weather is you can always look forward to having a #BadAssHairDay. There’s no need to pull your hair back into a ponytail when the sun is shining just right. Thanks to the folks at OGX Beauty, I’m now always going to have a good hair day. For their new #BadAssHairDay campaign, I’ve joined a few select bloggers to show you how to have a productive day and make everyday a #BadAssHairDay.
In order to have a productive Sunday, I have to start my day at church, followed by a yoga session, then a trip to the farmers market or whole foods to shop for the week, and then it usually ends with a dinner with my family or at home alone. I tend to overload my weekends, so sometimes it’s nice to just sit outside and mediate while the wind blows in your hair.
OGX Beauty currently has a #HairorDare challenge on Instagram, and you can be involved too! Follow @OGX_Beauty and the #BadAssHairDay and #HairorDare hashtags. Share photos of your Bad Ass Hair Days or do one of the #HairorDare challenges for a chance to win prizes.

Which products will you be adding to your beauty routine this spring?
Pantene Pro-V recently launched a new line of hair care products for the African-American female. They sent me several products from their line to try. About a year ago, I stopped getting my hair relaxed and decided to go natural and free of any chemicals. So, I was excited to try Pantene’s New Truly Natural products.
My normal routine is that I usually shampoo and condition, straighten my hair and pin curl my hair at night. My hair requires a lot of hydration and The Pantene New Truly Natural products were great at keeping my hair well conditioned. I sampled the clarifying shampoo, the deep conditioner, and the argan oil hair serum.
It’s been really hard to find a hair product that I like and want to use regularly. I’m definitely planning to continue to use the Pantene New Truly Natural Products.
