White Peach Sangria

May 31st, 2011 - 3 comments

As I continue this week’s theme of entertaining posts, I thought I would share my recipe for White Peach Sangria. I love sangria especially in the summer!

The inspiration behind this recipe came to mind last week when my peaches were about to go bad. I didn’t want the labor of making a peach cobbler and I knew I would be entertaining guests over the weekend…so when in doubt I thought make sangria! LoL!

Check out the recipe below.

Peach Sangria

1 bottle of Moscato d’asti Wine

1/2 cup of Peach Schnapps (DeKuyper)

2 large peaches sliced or 4 small peaches sliced

1 large diced mango

3 strawberries sliced

1 apple sliced

1 orange sliced

2 mint sprigs

1 tablespoon of honey

1 lemon

1 lime

1 large pitcher

3 handfuls of ice

How to Prepare

Pour the bottle of wine into the pitcher, then add the peach schnapps. Add the honey to the juice mixture. Stir for a few seconds. Then add the peaches, mango, apple, orange, and strawberries to the pitcher. Next, add the juice from 1 lime and 1 lemon to the mix.

Add the mint the sprigs to the pitcher.

Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours.

Serve over ice and add lime slices as a garnish.

Enjoy! After you are done drinking you should eat the fruit, because it will have all absorbed all of the flavors of the wine. Yums!
